Toyota FCV-R Concept: a funny fuel-cell vehicle

Toyota FCV-R Concept (Fuel Cell Vehicle – Reality and Revolution) is based on hydrogen fuel cell technology. The experts expect a notable breakthrough of this next-generation eco-car in the near future. The concept was presented at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show. The Japanese automaker plans it to launch it in 2015.

This concept is powered by a next generation fuel-cell 70 MPa hydrogen tank. FCV-R`s travelling range is 435 miles or 700 km. It accelerates from 0-60mph in 10 seconds. The top speed is 100mph. The good low-speed aerodynamics is very important for achieving efficient electricity regeneration.

The FCV-R is a four-door vehicle. It highlights curved roofline and aerodynamic bumpers. It is designed to create as little air resistance as possible.

The medium-sized saloon features a futuristic interior design: seats finished with Alcantara leather, metallic trim, an oversized infotainment unit.
FCV-R will accommodate adults and their luggage.
